It measures 1.3 x 4.7 cm, plus a 1 cm bail, and weighs 2.7 g. On a mid-length chain, it falls to the middle of the chest.

Amber is not a stone like any other: it is a conifer resin, fossilized over more than forty million years. The amber in our jewelry comes from the Baltic Sea, home to most of the world's amber deposits. Storms loosen it from the seabed and wash it up on the beaches, where it is still gathered by hand; it is also extracted from the ground near the coast. Nicknamed "the gold of the North", it has been worn and traded since prehistoric times. Its color ranges from honey yellow to cognac, with greener or more orange hues, and it sometimes holds tiny fragments of plants or insects, traces of a vanished forest. Light and soft to the touch, it warms up quickly against the skin.

In lithotherapy, amber is seen as a stone of light and vitality. It is credited with a warm energy that may help drive away fatigue and dark thoughts, regain self-confidence and keep a positive state of mind. It is also said to be a stone of patience and serenity, appreciated in times of stress. Tradition associates it with the Sacral Chakra and the Solar Plexus, and with the sign of Leo. These benefits belong to the beliefs of lithotherapy and have not been scientifically proven: they are in no way a substitute for medical advice. Wearing amber is above all the pleasure of a natural, luminous material.

The dark tone of oxidized silver is an integral part of the piece: do not use baking soda, anti-tarnish products or polishing cloths, which would remove it. Simply clean it in lukewarm, soapy water with a soft cloth, then dry it. Avoid harsh chemicals and take it to a jeweler for more thorough care.

Amber is a soft and sensitive material: it scratches easily and dislikes both heat and chemicals. Take off your jewelry before putting on perfume, applying cream or doing housework, and store it separately, in its pouch, so that it does not rub against other jewelry. To clean it, rinse the amber in lukewarm, lightly soapy water or in spring water, then dry it immediately with a soft cloth. If it loses its luster, a drop of sweet almond oil, buffed with a microfiber cloth, will restore its shine. In lithotherapy, it is recharged for a few hours in daylight or on an amethyst geode; however, avoid leaving it in direct sunlight for long, as this can darken its color.

The look of oxidized silver is achieved through a controlled oxidation of 925 silver, an alloy of 92.5% pure silver. Rhodium plating then protects the jewelry from tarnishing.
